Aurora (Class of 2027) is from Houston, Texas, where she graduated as one of the top students in a class of over 1,000, earning a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 5.28 weighted GPA. She now studies Psychology at Harvard College –her academic strengths include English, writing, history, and math. At Harvard, Aurora serves as a Project Lead for both the Global Research and Consulting Group and the Clean Energy Group’s Equity Department, where she works on sustainable and equity-driven initiatives. She also serves as a co-founder for a bilingual publishing venture, through the Harvard Innovation Labs, striving to help mitigate day-to-day language barriers for Massachusetts residents. Her college essay—beginning with “I was born in prison”— received national media coverage (People Magazine, New York Post, KTVU) for its emotional depth and honesty. This narrative helped secure her spot at Harvard and has made her a sought-after mentor for rising college applicants.

Demetri Long (Class of 2028) is from Cincinnati and is a student at Harvard College studying Economics and Government. He is passionate about leadership, business, and building systems that create long-term opportunity, with academic interests spanning finance, public policy, and entrepreneurship. At Harvard, Demetri serves in multiple leadership and service roles across campus. He works as a Student Assistant with Harvard’s Academic Resource Center and Advising Programs Office, is a Student Usher at Sanders Theatre, and supports students through tutoring in economics, government, math, and writing. He has also held leadership positions in alumni programming and student organizations, where he has helped coordinate events, mentor peers, and strengthen student engagement. Outside the classroom, Demetri is the Founder and CEO of The Inkwell Publishing Company, an independent publishing venture focused on helping writers bring their ideas to life. Through this work, he has led editorial, production, and business operations while growing a platform centered on creativity and opportunity. He is also developing future ventures in finance and technology, driven by a vision of building companies that create meaningful impact. Brooke Decho (Class of 2026) is a senior at Harvard University pursuing a degree in Environmental Science and Engineering, with a citation in Spanish. As a first- generation college student and valedictorian of Harlem Senior High School’s Class of 2022, she is committed to making academic support accessible, engaging, and empowering for all students. At Harvard, Brooke is actively involved in STEM and leadership organizations, including the Society of Women Engineers, the Harvard Undergraduate Engineering Society, and the Clean Energy Group. She has developed hands-on experience in robotics, environmental fieldwork, data analysis, and CAD design, which informs her practical and problem-solving approach to tutoring. Brooke supports students across subjects including math, physics, and environmental science, as well as college readiness and academic skills. She is passionate about helping students build confidence, think critically, and achieve their goals.
