Science & Technology Tutoring

Easton Singer is a Senior at Harvard, studying Mathematics and Computer Science. He was a MATHCOUNTS State Champion and National Quarterfinalist, a 5x AIME qualifier, and a 2x USAMO qualifier. He has significant experience tutoring middle school and high school math and computer science, and as a MATHCOUNTS coach. In his free time, Easton enjoys playing piano and percussion, and he has played in the pit orchestra for several musicals and operas at Harvard. He aspires to earn a PhD in Mathematics and become a math professor.

Brooke Decho is a senior at Harvard University pursuing a degree in Environmental Science and Engineering, with a citation in Spanish. As a first-generation college student and valedictorian of Harlem Senior High School’s Class of 2022, she is passionate about making academic support accessible and empowering for all students. At Harvard, Brooke is involved in a variety of STEM and leadership organizations, including the Society of Women Engineers, the Harvard Undergraduate Engineering Society, and the Clean Energy Group. She has hands-on experience in robotics, environmental fieldwork, data analysis, and CAD design, and she brings this real-world STEM perspective into her tutoring. Brooke offers tutoring across a wide range of subjects, including math (up through Calculus), physics, environmental science, and general academic coaching. She also supports students with college readiness, helping them build study skills, manage workloads, and navigate the application process. Her goal is to foster confidence and critical thinking in every student she works with!

Davin (class of 2029) is from the beautiful town of Boulder, Colorado. He is a computer science major with a strong background in competitive mathematics and programming. He led his school's chess club and physics club, while also co-founding his school's competitive programming club. Furthermore, he has interests in chess, competing in national-level tournaments and becoming co-champion of his state's scholastic tournament, as well as soccer, qualifying for national-level competition at the ECNL and EAL level. Davin specializes in academic and SAT/ACT tutoring, having taught MATHCOUNTS to students for all four years of high school across three different organizations, in addition to three years of tutoring in academic subjects, with a primary focus on STEM-based subjects. He is also passionate about helping students develop their college application strategy, having helped students gain acceptance to their early-round schools this year by positioning them as a top applicant.

Nicky is a sophomore at Harvard College studying Biomedical Engineering with a secondary in Economics. As an alum of NC School of Science and Math, she has years of prior experience with crafting curriculums for Pre-Calculus and led educational summer camps in programming and STEM experiments. She is able to provide college counseling and tutor SAT (1560), Math (Algebra, AP Calc, Multi, Combinatorics), AP Biology, AP Statistics, Physics, and Programming. She’s deeply committed to helping students not only master STEM concepts, but truly enjoy the learning process. She has also spent three summers in scientific research including cancer therapeutics with publication authorship. During high school, she partook and won awards in FIRST Robotics, Science Olympiad, Ethics Bowl, HOSA, TSA, Envirothon, and more.

Sophia (Class of '28) is from Bethesda, Maryland, and graduated from a private, all-girls school with Highest Honors as President of the Cum Laude Society. In high school, she scored a 1540 on the SAT and balanced passions in science and the humanities. Sophia published a research paper in the Journal of Neurorehabilitation and completed numerous internships–including research at Johns Hopkins, shadowing neurosurgeons at Walter Reed, and working on a project at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. A designated STEM Scholar and Captain of the Varsity Softball Team, Sophia also founded student organizations like the Future Faces of Medicine Club and the Peer Tutoring Club, while earning awards and recognitions for her writing. Sophia has extensive experience in working with students of all ages. She specializes in advanced, AP, and introductory college-level STEM courses; Latin (including National Latin Exam prep); and essay help for both class assignments and the college application process. In this, she is dedicated to helping students build a strong and compelling narrative to build their confidence throughout this process and stand out to admissions officers. Now, Sophia studies Neuroscience and English on the pre-medical track, planning to pursue a career in surgery. She is an executive member of Mission:Brain, a journalist for The Harvard Crimson, and a supervisor at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, to name a few of her engagements.

Hi, I’m a sophomore studying mathematics, statistics, and computer science, with strong proficiency in literature and the humanities. I scored 1560 on the SAT, including an 800 in math. I specialize in AP-level work across math, statistics, computer science, physics, and chemistry, but I can help at any level. Beyond academics, I am interested in sustainability and baking, as well as clay trap & skeet shooting. I also offer college advising, especially for international students, and essay writing support for applications, scholarships, and classes. I went to boarding school and still tutor my younger friends from the dorms. They describe me as patient, clear, supportive, and genuinely willing to help. Demetri Long (Class of 2028) is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and has been tutoring for over six years, helping students achieve academic excellence and confidence in their learning. While still in high school, Demetri worked full-time and earned an Associate of Science degree with over 100 college credits, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA from Cincinnati State. He also earned a STEM honors diploma as valedictorian with a 5.095 GPA from Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy. His strong background in math and science enables him to effectively tutor subjects such as algebra, calculus, and biology, guiding students to understand the "why" behind the subjects. Beyond STEM, Demetri is the Founder and CEO of The Inkwell Publishing Company, where he mentors young writers and develops creative-writing and reading-comprehension programs. This background gives him a unique edge in tutoring English, writing, and college essays, helping students strengthen both their technical and expressive skills. Bishwo is an undergraduate at Harvard College, where he studies Environmental Science and Engineering. Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, he is deeply involved in data-driven research projects, debating, and engineering design hackathons. In high school, he represented Nepal on the National Debate Team, which ranked among the Top 15 teams globally at the World Schools Debating Championship. He scored a 1540 on the SAT (single attempt) and received acceptances from three Ivy League universities. Bishwo has extensive experience mentoring students, both one-on-one and in small groups, to help them excel in standardized exams such as the SAT, AP, and Cambridge IGCSE/A Levels. He also provides guidance through the college application process, supporting students in crafting impactful essays and building competitive profiles. Bishwo primarily tutors SAT, AP, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Writing, and offers college counseling for high school students aspiring to attend top universities.

Martin Bigil-Rico is a rising senior at Harvard University studying Computer Science and Statistics. He attended a public magnet high school in Southern California, where he held leadership positions in five clubs and participated in several of the nation’s most prestigious summer STEM programs. Martin achieved a 1510 on the SAT and earned 5’s on AP exams including English Language and Composition, English Literature, Calculus BC, Physics C: Mechanics, and Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. At Harvard, he co-founded SAT Daily, an app designed to help students access advanced SAT study resources; served as an editor for the campus Philosophy Review; and worked as a software developer for the Harvard Rocketry Club. He has extensive experience teaching the SAT, ACT, AP exams, and a wide range of academic subjects from English to Calculus, as well as providing college admissions coaching and essay support. His college counseling students have been accepted to top universities including Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, Notre Dame, Washington University in St. Louis, Boston University, UCLA, and UC Berkeley.

Abe is a first-year at Harvard College studying Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Originally from Tunisia, he scored a 1590 on the SAT (800 Math, 790 English) and earned 5s on multiple AP Tests, including Calculus BC, Statistics, Chemistry, and French. Passionate about mathematics and artificial intelligence, he has published AI research in an IEEE journal and excelled in Math Olympiad. Committed to sharing opportunities with others, Abe founded a nonprofit to tutor students in Tunisia and across the world in Math Olympiad preparation and led weekly SAT Math workshops for more than 100 students. Through these efforts, he has helped students strengthen their problem-solving skills and confidence in high-level math. As a tutor and college mentor, Abe draws on his own test-taking and application experiences to help students achieve top scores and present their best selves in college applications. He specializes in SAT, ACT, and AP preparation, mainly in STEM subjects, guiding students in mastering both content and strategy. In college counseling, he helps students brainstorm and refine their essays while ensuring their authentic voice comes through across the application.

João Lucas Oliveira, but you can call him João (class of 2028), is from São Paulo, Brazil, and studied his whole life in a small city in Brazil, where he came to the U.S. to pursue his undergraduate studies at Harvard in Government and Computer Sciences. He was 4.0 and a valedictorian student in high school and has different experiences, from Calculus and Math concepts, Programming, History and Government, to Portuguese, and College advising. He started to get involved in more extracurricular activities in Elementary school and got awards in national mathematics and science olympiads, becoming a three-medalist national medalist in the Brazilian Geography Olympiad. He has led Overseas, a delegation from his school network in Brazil that has raised more than $100,000 and supports students to go to international Model UNs and debates. He is also deeply engaged in social activities, volunteering. Worked as a Software Engineer in the largest investment banking firm in LATAM. He loves all levels of math and current affairs. João specializes in college application advising, but also tutors in CS subjects, Math, and World and History-related topics. Currently works as a Tutor at HSA, and is looking forward to going into his own Gov-Tech and AI Security company in the future.
