Math Tutoring

I am a first-year student at Harvard University, concentrating in Neurobiology on the pre-med track. I have experience tutoring high school students from freshmen to seniors. I also have experience tutoring middle school students. When I was a senior in high school, I tutored juniors and seniors that struggled to understand AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, and AP Biology as I had taken all those courses in my junior year and received A's in all of them. The students that I tutored understood the material soon after, and their grades reflected that. I also took 4 years of Spanish in high school, including AP Spanish, receiving A's at every level. I continue my Spanish studies at Harvard. Overall, I love helping students learn subjects that they struggle with and am able to do it in a way that allows them to enjoy learning the material.

Hanah is a sophomore at Harvard College studying Bioengineering. A violinist and the 2024 valedictorian of Harker Heights High School, Hanah has taught beginner musicians and academics alike. Hanah has also counseled numerous domestic and international students accepted into T20 U.S. colleges. She currently teaches math and leads SAT workshops for high school students at The Tutoring Center in Texas. Hanah loves to read fan-made works and Webtoons in her free time. I have experience in many different areas and I consider that some of my most meaningful accomplishments are the fact that I worked in the National Student Government of Romania for 3 years, I completed an intensive Computer Science and Mathematics track in high school, and I competed in many olympiads (Debate, Maths, Computer Science, History, Geography, English). Dino Perusko is an international student from Labin, Croatia. He is a member of the Harvard class of 2028 concentrating in Anthropology and Applied Math. Hi! My name is Jenna Jiang and I'm currently a student at Harvard College studying Government. Although Government is a field that I am extremely passionate and interested in, I have another passion for education. For the last two years, I sat on the Illinois Board of Education Student Advisory council where I was elected as an executive council member my first year and then later on as President. Within my position, I learned to write policies and bills where I would advocate for them along with my peers to the Board. In addition to sitting on the Illinois State Board of Education Student Advisory Council, I also sit on two other councils where I was elected by the State Superintendent as the sole student advisor ranging from rural advisory to student equity. Hi! I'm Ryan Rhee, a Harvard student studying Sociology and Economics. I grew up attending international schools across China, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea, so I understand the unique challenges of applying to college from highly competitive environments and the pressure throughout the whole application process from the SAT to college essays. As a composer, conductor, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, I have been commissioned for works by professional artists and ensembles across the globe that has gotten me featured on NPR, The NY Times, and TEDx. In terms of combining my mathematically-inclined endeavors with my artistic experience, I created an app entirely from scratch, entitled NoteBox App, that aids emerging composers in sharing their music, receiving recordings, asking for questions, and collaborating with other musicians with other experiences in computer science at other summer programs. I was commissioned to write a piece for a GRAMMY-award winning violinist with performances of my works at Carnegie Music Hall and The Wallis, one if which was featured on an album that reached No. 2 on the Billboard Traditional Classical Chart and was featured in an NPR article, “Favorite Music of July,” alongside albums by Beyoncé and Maggie Rogers. Vanessa Zhang is a student from Vancouver, Canada concentrating in Applied Mathematics in Government. In high school, Vanessa was on both Team Canada Debate and Golf. She was the salutatorian of her class, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and earned First Class Honors with Distinction for all five years of high school. As a top-ranked debater, she won several national and international titles. She is a member of Team Canada Golf for the third consecutive year and plays for the Harvard Women’s Golf Team. Allaura Osborne is a senior studying Anthropology and History, focusing on Indigenous Studies. Hello! I'm a sophomore at Harvard studying neuroscience, and I'm also pre-med. I've been tutoring since I was a sophomore in high school, and have helped people study for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, and various AP exams. I also really enjoy working with people to build a more solid foundation in English, math, and science. Mellen is a Junior at Harvard studying Economics and Global Health Policy. Mellen is very passionate about higher education and advancing college access opportunities for underrepresented minorities. Axel is a rising junior at Harvard College, concentrating in Neuroscience.
