Language Tutoring

Chloe is a sophomore at Harvard College studying sociology on the data analytics track. At Harvard, she enjoys serving as President of the Harvard Caribbean Club. Before coming to Harvard, her favorite extracurriculars were founding her school's fashion club and playing on the tennis team. Chloe has worked with students of all ages ranging from 1st to 12th grade. Since coming to Harvard, she has tutored with three different after school programs in the Boston area. Her most recent tutoring experience has been working with high school students to offer homework support in all subjects.

Hello! My name is Neeraja Kumar and I am a sophomore at the college studying Government. Ashley Vazquez Romo is a junior at Harvard studying Human Evolutionary Biology with a secondary in Education. She was admitted to every college she applied to; including Yale, Princeton, Cornell, the University of Pennsylvania, USC, and more. She attended Basic Academy of International Studies where she broke the state record for highest Grade Point Average (GPA). She is eager to support other students in their academic journey. I am a college student at Harvard (co '28). I'm originally from Mobile, AL. During high school, I scored a 34 on my ACT and was a national merit finalist (based on PSAT scores). I also took all IB classes and received the IB diploma (with the highest score in my class). In high school, my extracurriculars centered on languages, volunteering, and soccer. I also participated in the US State Department's National Security Language Initiative (NSLI-Y) and the Youth Ambassadors Program. Currently, I am concentrating in Government with a secondary in Computer Science and a Russian citation. I am also a Research Assistant for a professor working on a book about interethnic relations in different global regions, and I write for the Harvard Crimson (newspaper). I also volunteer teaching in Boston and play Club Soccer. I am comfortable tutoring any number of subjects at the IB level. In addition, I am fluent in Spanish. I can also tutor for college essays!

Axel is a sophomore at Harvard College, concentrating in Neuroscience. He grew up in Winchester, Virginia and has been tutoring since 2022, when he began working at Mathnasium, helping K-12 students develop their math skills. Axel has a strong background in mathematics, excelling in AP Calculus AB (Score: 5), AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, and SAT Math. Hello! I'm a sophomore at Harvard studying neuroscience, and I'm also pre-med. I've been tutoring since I was a sophomore in high school, and have helped people study for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, and various AP exams. I also really enjoy working with people to build a more solid foundation in English, math, and science. Over time, I've built up a lot of different strategies for different ways to approach learning and reviewing materials, and my goal is always to make learning as easy and enjoyable as possible for everyone. Numbers aren't everything, but if you're looking to study for a standardized test, I've done quite a few. I got a 5 on 11 AP exams (including Biology, Chemistry, Physics 1 and 2, and Calc AB/BC) and a 7 on IB Spanish, and my SAT score was a 1590.

Rachel is a sophomore at Harvard College pursuing a degree in Physics and Mathematics with a minor in Government and Spanish. She has taught computer science and tutored STEM students for over four years. She scored a 1550 on the SAT and 36 on the ACT, as well as obtaining a 44 in the IB with a 7 in each of her classes: HL Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, HL Physics, HL Chemistry, HL Spanish B, SL Geography, and SL English Language & Culture. Rachel has also taken several AP classes placing her at the top of her high school class. In high school, Rachel founded her school's Sustainability Club which went on to be internationally certified and she competed in debate, placing second to the Czech national team. At Harvard, she is the treasurer of the Harvard Undergraduate Association, managing the finances of all college clubs. Additionally, she is on the board of Harvard Undergraduates for Environmental Justice, Harvard Hillel, and Harvard College Democrats. She is also an active member of the club swimming team. Last summer, Rachel built lasers at a Harvard lab to further the search for dark matter. She was invited to present her research at a conference for rising engineers.

Hi everyone! I'm Trinh, a senior at Harvard College. I am concentrating in Neuroscience, with a secondary in computer science, and a citation in Spanish. When I am not dancing to Taylor Swift in my room, you can find me biking along the Charles River, karaoking to One Direction, or jogging around Harvard Square! I specialize in STEM subjects, and currently tutoring students in AP/Honors Biology and Chemistry.

Hello everyone! I am a sophomore at Harvard concentrating in Computer Science and Government, and minoring in Economics. I'm originally from Russellville, Arkansas. When it comes to tutoring, I typically specialize in helping students craft essays (whether its college admissions, AP Lit/AP Lang, or a scholarship), guiding them on what makes an impactful and structured essay. I can also provide help in multiple AP exams, pre-algebra, pre-calculus, ACT/SAT, and Spanish tutoring. In high school, I participated in activities that helped broaden my communication skills, including speech and debate, academic decathlons, and mock trial. I bring many of the skills that I honed during my time in high school to my tutoring sessions. I’m here to help you understand the material and gain valuable skills that will support you long-term.

I am a first-year student at Harvard University, concentrating in Neurobiology on the pre-med track. I have experience tutoring high school students from freshmen to seniors. I also have experience tutoring middle school students. When I was a senior in high school, I tutored juniors and seniors that struggled to understand AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, and AP Biology as I had taken all those courses in my junior year and received A's in all of them. The students that I tutored understood the material soon after, and their grades reflected that. I also took 4 years of Spanish in high school, including AP Spanish, receiving A's at every level. I continue my Spanish studies at Harvard. Overall, I love helping students learn subjects that they struggle with and am able to do it in a way that allows them to enjoy learning the material.

Allaura Osborne is a senior studying Anthropology and History, focusing on Indigenous Studies. She is from Raleigh, NC, and was a weight and hammer thrower on the Harvard Track and Field team for the first two years of college. Although she studies the humanities, most of her tutoring experience has centered around math. She ran her own tutoring company in high school, taught over 35 students in various levels of math, and worked 30 hours a week. She has also done SAT/ACT tutoring. Aside from helping with subjects and standardized tests, she has helped many of her students with college applications and essay editing! One thing that sets her apart is she wants the students to excel at the subject she helps them in and become more confident in themselves!
