My scores on relevant exams were SAT 1540 (740 English, 800 Maths), TOEFL 113 and Romanian Baccalaureate: Maths 9.75/10, Romanian 9.90/10, Computer Science 10/10.
I have experience in many different areas and I consider that some of my most meaningful accomplishments are the fact that I worked in the National Student Government of Romania for 3 years, I completed an intensive Computer Science and Mathematics track in high school, and I competed in many olympiads (Debate, Maths, Computer Science, History, Geography, English). Apart from this, I am also interested in arts and humanities.
I have a lot of experience explaining new concepts and working with students (my age and younger) and I usually find it very easy to bond with people. I would also say that one of my greatest strengths is patience.

Mariia

Hello! My name is Mariia, and I am a rising sophomore at Harvard College studying Economics with a secondary in Theatre, Dance, and Media. As an international student from Ukraine, I have personally experienced the application process to U.S.-based universities and understand its hidden hurdles. Despite its complexity, I am passionate about helping students enjoy this process as much as possible by tutoring, specifically SAT and IELTS, as well as essay writing and general college consulting. Considering English isn't my native language, and I was still able to achieve an SAT score of 1570 and an IELTS score of 8.0, I firmly believe an improved score depends not just on usual topics such as vocabulary and time management but on understanding the core logic behind each exam. Learning the objectives behind each type of question is the approach I teach my students because it allows them to work through problems comfortably while still finding the correct answer to each question.
As a tutor, I have successfully guided students through university applications, securing grants from top institutions like Harvard, Dartmouth, and Brown. Regarding college admissions, I teach my students how to stand out and transform their seemingly ordinary pursuits into prominent characteristics noticed by admission officers.
Whether you need test preparation, essay editing, or college advice, I look forward to helping you reach your full potential!
