Terms and Conditions

Harvard Student Agencies, Inc., is not a part of Harvard University and is a separate student-run organization affiliated with Harvard University.

All orders expire exactly 6 months after the date of registration, with the exception of the Premium AP Tutoring package, which expires exactly 12 months after the date of registration.  No refunds, rescheduling, or credits will be issued after the order expiration date.

Group Course Cancellation: After registering and paying in full for any group course, a $100 cancellation fee will be deducted from your registration payment refund up to seven (7) days before the first scheduled date of the course. There will be no refunds within seven (7) days of a group course. If the course for which you are registered is cancelled by Harvard Student Resources due to circumstances outside of its control (i.e., inclement weather or instructor illness), you will be rescheduled for another course at no additional charge.

Group Course Rescheduling: If you wish to reschedule a date for a group course, you must notify HSA Tutoring by e-mail at least seven (7) days before the first date of the course for which you are registered in order to avoid incurring a rescheduling fee. If you reschedule within seven (7) days of the first date of the course for which you are registered, a $30 rescheduling fee will be assessed. In the event that you wish to reschedule within seven (7) hours of the beginning of the course for which you are registered due to a health or family emergency, you must provide written documentation evidencing the emergency in order to be able to reschedule at no additional charge. No refunds will be issued for no-shows or late shows at group courses.

Onsite Private Tutoring Package: Private tutoring is scheduled directly with the tutor. All private tutoring will take place in public facilities in either Harvard University or in the Harvard Square area, and all group courses will take place in classrooms on the Harvard University campus. You may reschedule or cancel a session up to twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Rescheduling or canceling a scheduled session within twenty-four (24) hours is subject to a fee of up to $55 times the number of scheduled hours. If a student does not attend a tutoring session that has already been agreed upon by the student and the tutor, one hour will be deducted form the package. No refunds will be issued for no-shows or late shows for private tutoring sessions. Tutors have the right to cancel a session in which a student arrives 15 minutes late or later, without refund.

Offsite Private Tutoring Package: In-home tutoring or tutoring outside of the Harvard University or Harvard Square area must take place in a location where at least one additional person, excluding the tutor and student, is present.  All offsite tutoring will be charged at an additional $10/hour for tutoring.  Transportation costs and transportation time must also be covered by the client, with transportation time starting at a rate of $18/hour.

Test Prep Packages: If you purchased a test prep package, the same terms apply above for private tutoring and group courses. However, if you are dissatisfied with private tutoring, you may cancel at any time, and you will be issued a refund according to the following formula:
